Self-Opt (also written SelfOpt) is a technology start-up based in Ankara. We combine industrial engineering with AI to make the operational decisions of small and mid-sized businesses data-driven.
Why?
Optimization should not be reserved for big companies.
Large companies calculate order quantities, staffing, prices and stock levels with engineering teams and expensive software. Small and mid-sized businesses usually make the same decisions from experience and spreadsheets.
Self-Opt exists to close that gap: the same methods, no technical knowledge required, in a tool you can ask in plain language. With the right tools every business can make better decisions.

The same team's route optimization work (Akılkent) took first place among 106 teams at the Operations Research and Industrial Engineering Congress held at ITU.
TOBB ETU Industrial Engineering
The founders are TOBB ETU Industrial Engineering graduates; first prizes for the graduation project and poster (2026).
